The eTwinning platform is a learning space where students are invited to participate, communicate, collaborate, share and develop projects with other partners at European level.
During the last few weeks, the 2nd class of the 7th grade has been working at the Interdisciplinary Learning Workshop on the first challenge of a new “Math Travelers” project: the construction of the National Flag in Geogebra.
After the historical contextualization, and by the way, given the October 5th holiday – Implementation of the Portuguese Republic – the students worked on the measures, proportions, representation of points in the Cartesian framework and built the Flag in this dynamic geometry software.
In this project, the sharing of actions that promote the journey through mathematics will be stimulated, discovering the beauty of this science in graphics, paintings, real life objects. Students will creatively create artwork using mathematical, especially geometric, properties through educational software such as Geogebra and Scratch. We are waiting for new challenges.
